The Assets module provides a centralised environment for recording and managing the organisation’s primary and supporting assets. Primary assets include, in particular, information, services and processes that are valuable to the organisation and require protection. Supporting assets include technologies, systems, applications, infrastructure and other elements on which the operation of primary assets depends.
WebArat enables relationships to be established between primary and supporting assets and connects them with threats, vulnerabilities and security controls. Assets therefore provide the foundation for related processes, particularly the creation of risk scenarios, risk analysis and risk management, as well as the assessment of security incidents.
WebArat’s system logic controls the creation of relationships between individual elements according to a defined structure. This helps maintain data consistency, prevent incorrect relationships and provide a realistic view of interdependencies within the organisation’s environment.
